I remember putting the stickers
in that little metal box
and making up a story
to go along with each one
Then, I'd take off her coat,
and hat
and shoes
but leave her socks on
so that her feet didn't get cold
then I'd put a blanket
in the bottom of the box
and set her inside
I'd pull the blanket
up to her chin a
nd kiss her on the head
I'd shut the box
and whisper
"good night Madeline."

This is a little poem/bible excerpt from Secretariat:
Do you give the horse his strength
or cloth his neck with a flowing mane
Do you make him leap like a locust
striking terror with his proud snorting
He paws fiercely
rejoicing in his strength
and charges into the fray
he laughs at fear
afraid of nothing
he does not shy away from the sword
the quiver rattles against his side
along with the flashing spear and lance
in frenzied excitement
he eats up the ground
he cannot stand still
when the trumpet sounds.
Do you give the horse his strength
or cloth his neck with a flowing mane
Do you make him leap like a locust
striking terror with his proud snorting
He paws fiercely
rejoicing in his strength
and charges into the fray
he laughs at fear
afraid of nothing
he does not shy away from the sword
the quiver rattles against his side
along with the flashing spear and lance
in frenzied excitement
he eats up the ground
he cannot stand still
when the trumpet sounds.

Walking home frome school
your insides are in a knot
its your birthday
and you're 12
you're SOOOO excited
'cause its your birthday
you walk in your door
and its quiet
you remember your mother saying
we'll be home after school
but
they're not
you hear a rustling and giggling
you turn
nothing
you turn back around
and.........
SURPRISE!!!!!!
they jusmp out
like lions on an antalope
yelling
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
in your ear
suprise indeed
your insides are in a knot
its your birthday
and you're 12
you're SOOOO excited
'cause its your birthday
you walk in your door
and its quiet
you remember your mother saying
we'll be home after school

You can never think
of the future
until you get there
if you think about
the sun rising tomorrow
don't
wait until tomorrow
then think about it
go outside
and enjoy the now
of the future
until you get there
if you think about
the sun rising tomorrow
don't
wait until tomorrow
then think about it
go outside
and enjoy the now

I wish
that I could touch
the stars
they twinkle
and shine at me
but I can't reach out
to them
They cry
because I can't play
with them
And I wish
I could
reach out
and comfort them
that I could touch
the stars
they twinkle
and shine at me
but I can't reach out
to them
They cry
because I can't play
with them
And I wish
I could
reach out
and comfort them

Its the first day of school
and even worse
middle school
the older kids
growl at you
as you walk past
your locker gets jammed
and you are
late
to your first class
your teacher
ends up being mean
your best friend
isn't in
any
of your classes
its a nightmare
I'm so glad
that was a dream
The first day of school
was wonderful
it wasn't
half
as bad as i
thought
it would be
the older kids
pretended we
wern't there
which was fine
with us
my locker
opened on the
first
try
not the 5th
which is what
all the 7th graders
say
happened
the first day
of 6th grade
was easy
I'm happy
that
was not
a dream
and even worse
middle school
the older kids
growl at you
as you walk past
your locker gets jammed
and you are

your teacher
ends up being mean
